Circuit City's Last Day

Last Saturday I was driving past Circuit City when I noticed that the clearance sign read "final day," so I decided to stop by where I almost picked up one of these sweet power cord for 90% off

...But then I realized that they come free with nearly everything.

...And by the way, why is it in an anti-theft box?

You Know What I Hate? - Part II

You know what I hate? ... Applications on Facebook that automatically invite all you friends to add the application.

Right now I have over 100 pending requests, and all of them are invites to add applications, most of them from people I haven't seen or talked in quite a while.

I seriously doubt that someone I haven't seen since high school really thought 'hey, I think I should invite Bryan to add this application so I can throw a snow ball at him"

You Know What I Hate? - Part I

I realize that I hate a lot of things ... and I haven't blogged in a while so here's something I hate:

You know what I hate? ... Those Facebook photos that people post and then tag all their friends like "The Drama Queen" ... "The Princess" ... and so on.

No, I think I'll hold onto my singles

I was at Burger King at the UB Commons earlier today when I saw this sign attached to the register. I would have thought about using the singles I had in wallet to pay, but instead I held on to them and gave the girl my twenty, just because I don't like when people use a 'z' to replace an 's'.

New York State Budget Crisis?

Over the summer we had an outdoor concert series on UB South Campus. Every week University Facilities came out and put up snow fence. The first week they sent out a crew with snow fence, fence posts, and a post driver. Apparently they decided this was too easy so for the rest of the series of concerts they sent out a different crew, a crew of 3 people, who came with snow fence, fence posts, and this time, a front loader. It seems that this crew felt the best way to drive the fence posts into the ground was to use the front loader to drive them in. Now this did turn out to be a humorous process to watch, as they bent as many fence posts as they drove in. Of course as I watched these New York State employees do this work it helped to remind me why New York State is in such a budget crisis.
