...Well at least my Magellan GPS is dumb.
During our recent trip to Ithaca we didn't really know where we were going, so the Magellan GPS was, we thought, the best way to around town, and yes, Magellan always got us to our final destination. Even though more than once it told us "make a left turn, followed by a left turn, followed by a left turn." Why didn't it just say "make a right turn"?
On the way home the GPS did something even crazier, it took us through Watkins Glen. Now this may on it's own not sound that crazy, but the trip there (when we didn't go through Watkins Glen) took 3 hours, the trip home (through Watkins Glen) took 5 hours. This was mostly due to the fact that on the way there we took 55 mph roads all the way from the Thruway to Ithaca, on the way home we were on 35 mph roads most of the way, except in Watkins Glen where the speed limit was 25.
The only up side was that we did get to see this sign at a Family Video location that I think really sums up the future or many of the residents.
